Code Sprint - day one - successfully completed!
Some of the people already had arrived yesterday so we got together today having some drinks and planning the next three and a half weeks.
In the meantime we visited the world cultural heritage of the Rammelsberg-Mine in Goslar and experienced, the enormous acchievements that are possible, when many people are working together in a reasonable way.
Tomorrow will be crunch-time! Hands on Grid Elements 2 and the actual coding can begin.
Today we roughly scheduled the roadmap already:
First we will fix bugs of the existing version and we will build in as many of the planned features as possible with TYPO3 4.x.
Then we will refactor the code so that it will run smoothly with the new structures of the 6.x branch having appropriate unit tests.
Finally we will build in those features, that will run with the 6.x branch only.
We want to show our sponsors, fans and other interested people a respectable final result in February.
